STEICO sarking & sheathing roof boards at a glance
We carry the Steico Universal, Duo Dry , Special Dry and Safe wood-fibre boards that are all suitable for external wall installation. The Duo Dry & Special Dry suitable for a render finish.
The boards are hydrophobic, i.e., water-repellent. Rainwater’s surface tension cannot break through sarking boards but runs off the surface. Provided with a tightly closing, all-round tongue and groove profile, the boards offer a rainproofing function and serve as temporary covering

Typical installation

Boards are permanently fixed to the timber structure using timber battens & screws.

when rendering the boards

Boards are secured the timber frame using large head stainless steel staples or specialised screws with a plastic washer.
